Compensation CCNL Level (Area) B1. The salary will be commensurate with the titles and experience. Gross Annual Retribution (RAL) appraisal: EUR 39,000-43,000.

Brief Description of the EPOS Research Infrastructure EPOS (European Plate Observing System, www.epos-eu.org/) is the pan-European research infrastructure dedicated to integrating data, services and facilities of the solid Earth science research communities in Europe. Its mission is to ensure the sustainable use and re-use of multidisciplinary solid Earth science data and products, fostering state-of-the-art research and innovation. EPOS is committed to establishing and underpinning sustainable and long-term access to solid Earth science data and services, integrating diverse European research infrastructures under a common federated framework. EPOS ERIC is the legal entity established by the European Commission to coordinate and integrate national and international research infrastructures, forming the EPOS Delivery Framework. Based in Rome, Italy, EPOS ERIC comprises 19 Members: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, and 1 Observer: Germany. Job Mission and Main Responsibilities EPOS ERIC is seeking a motivated and skilled front-end developer to actively participate in the activities of the IT Unit. The primary focus will be on the technical development, maintenance, and operation of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the EPOS Platform. Specifically, the selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Collaborating with designers and back-end developers to implement user-friendly web interfaces.
• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable source code.
• Integrating front-end components with back-end services and APIs.
• Conducting thorough testing to identify and resolve any performance or usability issues.
• Staying updated on emerging front-end technologies and best practices to continuously enhance our development process.
• Providing regular reports to the Chief of the IT Unit regarding the work performed and any related issues. Eligibility Criteria At the closing date of applications, candidates must: - be a national of a member state of the European Union; - have the appropriate character references for suitability for the duties' performance. Mandatory Qualifications and Professional Experience - Bachelor’s degree in computing science or similar, or relevant experience (at least three years) in OO development in microservices oriented architecture systems and related technologies - Excellent command of spoken and written English. Professional Experience, Qualifications and Skills - HTML/CSS: Fundamental proficiency for creating layouts and styles for web pages. - Main languages and framework: In-depth knowledge of the scripting language to add interactivity and dynamism to web pages; experience with Javascript, Typescript, nodejs, Angular, Angular Material Design components, for developing sophisticated and scalable user interfaces. - Responsive Design: Ability to create websites that adapt to various screen sizes and devices using media queries and other approaches. - Version Control: experience with Gitlab, Github, CI/CD deployment - Web Performance Optimization: Understanding of techniques to improve website performance, such as resource loading optimization, caching, and compression. - UI/UX Design Principles: Familiarity with user interface and user experience design principles to create intuitive and effective digital experiences. - Testing/Debugging: Ability to test and debug code to ensure the quality and reliability of the final product. - Knowledge of RESTful APIs: Understanding how to communicate with web services using RESTful APIs for accessing data and backend functionalities. - Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to creatively and efficiently solve problems, finding innovative solutions to technical challenges. - Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with the development team and other stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Soft skills - Good interpersonal skills and aptitude for teamwork. - Strong goal orientation and ability to work under deadlines. - Curiosity and openness to continuous learning. - Interest in digital infrastructures, data science and research in general. - An aptitude to work in an international context.
