EPOS Multi-Scale Laboratories (MSL) is a European research infrastructure that collects, manages, and harmonizes laboratory data across diverse scales—from picoseconds to millions of years and atomic distances to continental dimensions. The MSL community comprises over 100 laboratories across Europe, equipped with advanced facilities such as electron microscopes, deformation testing machines, and geochemistry labs. These resources support research on georesources, geostorage, geohazards, and Earth system evolution. EPOS MSL ensures data findability through the EPOS Data Portal and the EPOS MSL Data Catalogue, while promoting best practices for data sharing and collaboration. The initiative also facilitates international researcher access to laboratories and equipment, fostering joint research projects.
